Hi
Ive actually joined just to post this even though i browse regularly biggrin

Currently drive a 123bhp corsa 1.8
I actually quite like it and think its quite fun to drive but after 6 years of it, its time for a change.
Looking for suggestions of something better all round, looked at renaultsport clios, civic type r and astra turbos up until now but I'm open to anything within these requirements:

£4k budget
Small car
Bit more power than my current car
Fun drive
Sensible since i'll drive it to work every day

Only other car i've driven is a 106 rallye and i loved it in all honesty, so something which drive like this would be great!

I get the impression these threads aren't popular in which case I'm sorry in advance haha, but thanks for reading smile

Should get you going a touch quicker, careful though as the brakes are a bit snappy. hehe

Fiesta 150bhp, a great hot hatch- close to perfect save for the harsh ride and lack of 6th gear.

After having a 1.8 Corsa and a friend having a Fiesta ST realistically there was very little in it, yes it's a bit newer but I wouldn't see it as much of an upgrade. What about an Ibiza Cupra/FR with a remap?

What you need is a 16v'd 106 Rallye

Utterly horrific to live with

Hilarious to drive properly

I do think an st is similar to what I have now unfortunately, I've just had a look at these, they do seem good value for the performance.
Cheers

Ep3 Civic type r. Budget will get you a nice face lift. 197 bhp super reliable handle great. Can't fault mine at all. Will be changing soon though but only as I've had it so long.

Top of the list when I posted smile

Only issue with these seems to be finding a decent standard one within budget

I will admit hat I was sort of thinking of one a while ago.

Out of interest, what is bad about them day to day?

Mines a good almost standard example except for a cat back and uprated geometry. Drop me a message if your interested as I may fancy a change soon.
