Wings and Bonesless Wings
Discussion
My friend is hosting a Super Bowl night this year so I have loads of american snacks and drinks etc but have said I will make wings, probably boneless for ease of eating.
The recipe I tried last night was flour, panko crumbs, cayenne pepper, paprika and black pepper for the chicken coating and water, butter and franks buffalo sauce for the sauce but that was not to my taste.
I wondered if any one had any good recipes.

Direct from HD's outdoor redneck kitchen.
Cut some chicken breasts up into strips and marinade in buttermilk for a few hours.
Sprinkle a goodly amount of lemon pepper on the strips then dredge in flour.
Or, smoked paprika or mild chilli powder etc.
Lob them in the deep fat fryer at 170c till they look done.
If you want to make them super unheathier but tastier, find some MSG powder and mix it with the flour.

Wings you say? (Could only find the ribs & wings photo)

Black Pepper (Lots of black pepper)
Cook in the oven for at least an hour turning at least once.
Sauce:
Bottle of Franks - either "wings sauce" or just "hot"
Add butter & worcester sauce
Heat through on the hob until the butter has melted.
Dip wings in sauce.
Serve.
Sweat.

my missus is american and worked in a sports bar in atlanta before she moved here so the thought of boneless wings is a no go in our house haha! its best to keep the bone in! they dont need to be boneless, there is only one or 2 bones (depending if its a drum or flat) and they dont get in the way anyways!
for me its a buttermilk and flour coating, in the fridge for an hour to stick, then depending on the healthiness of the meal i switch between fried and baked. fried is better for crunch and oven better for fall off the bone smoothness!
as for a sauce i melt butter in a pan then mix in franks hot sauce. if i'm baking them the sauce goes in half way through the cook after the first flip and if they are fried they go in after! sometimes i like to spike the sauce with some habanero sauce or chlli flakes just to heat them up a bit

^^^ Simple is best. As ever the 'secret' with black pepper is to use fresh ground, put on a much as you dare, then put more on.
