Hi All,

Has anyone had to replace these. After some advice as the specialist I use reckons that the re-con parts available are crap and that the best bet is to buy the part from Porsche at £510 per side!

Any other options?

Cheers

Simon

Quite frankly he is talking cr@p on both counts, for starters the S2 ones do not cost £510 per side more like £300.

And the reconditioned ones can vary in quality. But they are about £150-£200 per side and you will probably get atleast 3 years even from the worst one.

Cheers for the responses. £430 + VAT is £510!

Do you think the recon would last 3 years when I do approx 25k miles a year and a coupe of trackdays?

The better ones have never had a failure. The kits with metal bushes were fitted to the Cup cars

Maybe try a different OPC?

Friend of mine is getting one done by Gilmore as we speak, he is picking the car up on Monday. Will post on the results (i suspect it il be ok for about 5 years so could be a while!!!)

Gilmore one uses a grease nipple, seems that some people tend to scoff at this, however if its kept clean and included as part of regular maintanance it should be fine. I think its about £132 for the work + postage so £150 is about there.

You can definatly get the wishbones cheaper than £510.

BTW Euro Car parts are doing a Genuine wishbone for the S2 for £365. Just incase you are still looking.

And i still maintain you can get them cheaper from the OPC.
