Just recd my renewal quote with Aviva at £1164.
Lock tons is £1976
Admiral is £419. Confirmed that I can use a repairer of my own choice with no penalty,

Have any of you with Admiral had any problems?

I have been with them and Elephant (the same firm I believe), for the last five years, solely based on the fact that they are considerably competitive. I have never had a problem or needed to claim, Financially, in that period I'm probably up about £5k

I'm currently with Aviva for two of the motors, Lockton's for the Aston.

Multi Car for all three with Aviva, £2K with Admiral multi car £1.5K. Had conversation with Admiral underwriter as I wanted to state where the Aston gets repaired (AM Works) in case of an accident. They would not write it into the policy. They said I would need to obtain a quote from Works and Admiral's engineers would decide if the quote was "reasonable"!

With Locktons it states I can choose repairer. I'm thinking sod the cost and stay with Locktons.

BTW the dearest of the three cars is our little JCW Mini Roadster...unbelievable!

It's interesting how they work isn't it. I've been with admiral five years on a multicar. This years Aviva beat them by a country mile, even after admiral went through their "retention" process.

And it's better cover!

Pays to churn!

for the last 5 years weve had a family fleet policy underwritten by Chaucer. If you have 2 drivers and 3 vehicles or more it starts to make sense

Last year was just over £1000 for Aston, Range Rover, Volvo, 2 motorbikes. With 15K business miles each driver, another 4k private and 6K miles on the bikes

all the usual fully comp, breakdown, legal cover etc across all vehicles/drivers

you build up NCB on each vehicle individually...we have max on the cars and 3 yrs on the bikes

certainly a lot less hassle each year when its due for renewal. Each year I check the online quotes and if I took the very cheapest rock bottom quote per vehicle with an unknown provider, I could save about £100 total ...but its really not worth it
