How to choose Aegon funds - not as easy as it used to be
Discussion
Quick one, I might be missing the obvious. I want to review some pension funds with Aegon to see if I can self manage rather than using my old IFA. I'm fairly up on these things and understand crown ratings and how to read fund fact sheets (we chose the last set of funds between us). However try as I might, I can't find any easy one to locate funds that might match my risk profile without knowing the fund name in advance, which, I don't. I simply want to try and find funds that match what i'm after for the next couple of years and then i'll start switching them myself.
Have these things changed in recent years to hinder the DIY'er? I'm aware that IFA charging has altered in recent years and it looks like the pension providers have changed the way they serve up there info to make it harder. Or it could just be me.
If I have to pay my IFA, I will. But equally I'm happy to make the decisions if I can get to the info!
Anyone? Is it all there for the taking...?

Or if you are really brave - get a SIPP where you invest in companies - not funds.
You can subscribe to various Motley Fool periods which will help you chose.
But I would suggest you do a little research - and only invest in companies that you can understand what they do.
I still can't get my head around bitcoins.
