Don't normally rant.

However this really bugs me... If you know the road over the bridge as you come off the A11 there are two lanes at the start of the a505 which filter to one lane. It's about half a mile long before it becomes one lane so why does everyone queue in the left lane whilst the right lane is completely open? It obvious to me and a few others that two lanes were built for a reason and that's to avoid congestion... What's even more annoying are the small minded idiots who straddle both lanes so no one can use the second lane and therefore cause tail backs on to the A11 - IDIOTS arghhhhh

I noticed this was a very 'British' thing to do on my recent trip there. Move over and form an orderly queue immediately prior to lane ending.

In USA and Aus we tend keep two lanes full until the Merge Point and then filter in one on one. Works well with little agro.
