I have been offered the attached watch as PX against my watch.
I have been told that it is genuine and it will come with all boxes and paperwork.
I will upload a few photos that the chap sent me - maybe someone out there can confirm from the photos that it is legit?

Strap does not look legit - at least it does not look anything like mine, anyway....

Strap looks just like my one, albeit oddly un scratched!

You mean you have the other BRACELET option, right? biggrin

Show us a photo of the face as that's often more telling for fakes.

Any pointers that make you certain?

The serial number on the case looks to me like it is factory and the clasp etchings also.

I do not 'know' this particular model so I couldn't be sure that I am not being suckered in!

I am told it is a 2014 model with ceramic bezel. 42mm case size.

not certain, only that they look like the markings on mine, the strap is correct, the only way to be sure is to take the back off

Ok, so looking positive.
I doubt he would have the correct tool to take the back off and I guess this would mean an expensive re-seal?

Does anyone know the value of these in good condition or should I just get the feel of pricing on Ebay?

Caution alert: I understand that some fakes are now really good. Some even come complete with the box and papers - just like the real thing.

If the current owner bought from a good high st jeweller/authorised dealer, they should at time of sale have given him a valuation letter for insurance purposes. If the seller can produce this letter, it would be a definite plus.

However, the only sure way is to take it to an official dealer and have them look at it.

Good point, I will ask if he has the original receipt as it would still be in warranty, I guess, being that it is a 2014 model.

If that's a fake then it's very very good

The bracelet is in better condition than my 2014 one

If it is real then I don't like the look of the new style bracelet! Mine is from 2005, so older style Seamaster

Isn't that a quartz Seamaster, hence the different bracelet? My 2013 automatic has a different bracelet (which I also prefer to the one in the pics).

Has it got the laser engraved globe symbol? Should be on the back of the watch

It is the automatic coaxial movement watch so I guess the strap is a option?
