Finally back on the road with my own car after an unplanned face re-organisation CLICKY and having been on PistonHeads for long enough I thought that this was the only acceptable way smile

MX-5!

Only had it a couple of days but am thoroughly enjoying it, should have done it years ago.

(It does appear though I may be a bit council as I went for white)

Thanks you all who posted in the first thread, It did really help as I was a bit down for quite a while and each little bit of support helped keep me positive. Everything is now in the right place (facially), unfortunately the eye wont quite be the same again so catching is now crossed off my list of things I can do.

Most of all I would like to say that despite all of the stories and negativity the NHS has been wonderful to me and my family. It goes without saying that I wouldn't be here without them.

Without trying to turn this thread (that should be happy) into a negative one, I've just read your previous thread and that is shocking, and exactly why nowadays I just leave people to it.

What happened to you is common, not the attack but the people that are desperate to get infront when two lanes merge, and if someone is that desperate I just leave them to it, and let them get in front.

The other day I had someone knock my car while I was sitting in it and some people were asking why I didn't confront him, firstly I didn't bother as the damage was done, and secondly it could have created a confrontation.

Some people would view how I do things as cowardly, but obviously everyone's got a limit, there'll be a time when I snap but generally road rage starts over relatively minor things and they get blown out of hand.

Also let's face it if we get annoyed at every bad bit of driving we'd constantly be annoyed as the majority of driving out there is selfish, aggressive and just plain bad.

Anyway good luck with your new car smile

Glad you're OK and back in the driving seat OP smile

If you are OK to, could you bump your 'other' thread and let us know what, if anything, happened to the other guy etc.?

We'll done OP for your attitude and getting through that shocking incident. Taking the view that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger is the only way to put it behind you. I like to think I could also have taken that view. Great to hear you're back on your feet after the bad times. The new car looks great. In my opinion sportscars and convertibles invariably suit white, it's the dreary euro boxes that look terrible en masse.

Hope the cowardly psycho who assaulted you suffers one day. Behaving like that they will either end up serving a lot of time behind bars or dead when they come up against an equally unhinged person who will go even further. A loser either way.

Just read the entire thread on how you came to this position. All the very best to you, and I can't recall seeing many white MX5's.

A Japanese sports car should be white. It's their racing colour after all. This looks good.

You're right. Integra Type R DC2, Pulsar GTIR and Celica GT4 spring to mind. smile

Then, there's this too: Honda RA272 (1965)
