Forklift certification
Discussion
A lack in forklift certification is holding me back with jobs advertised through recruitment agencies. I've asked where people get them, apparently it's "on courses that they went on through previous employers".
So I don't have an FLT certificate. I cannot get a permanent job in somewhere that would otherwise get me an FLT certificate as they all need me to have a FLT certificate. Temporary placements won't train me because I am indeed temporary.
Where the hell do I go to get a FLT certificate (and, y'know, training) so that I can do 20 of the jobs in my local area instead of a big fat 0 of them? Are there places to get them without employment seeming to be required?

There are usually "local" training firms who not only take block bookings from businesses but also take individuals. I used to work for a firm who put me through various courses, but now I run my own business, I go to the same trainers but pay it myself.Interweb and phone for your local specilised trainers.
Don't know where you are based, but we used this organisation. Might be worth a call to explain your circumstances:
