Looking to buy E240 avantgarde estate... Advice please?

Hi all,
New to the forum - been a Volvo enthusiast up until now.
I've wanted a Mercedes for a while and have stumbled across one that's reasonable.
It's a 2001 2.6 with auto/tiptronic box and has done 96,000. I know bodywork can be an issue (arches etc) but can anyone advise what I should be looking/watching out for? I'm going to look at it on Saturday and it would be good to be armed beforehand. The apparent only know fault is that the bulb failure light is showing despite all bulbs working. Could that be a sensor/earth fault?
I know some models are capable of moon miles but does anyone know if this engine/gearbox combination would prove to be reliable for at least a few more years? It doesn't seem many miles to me for a car of this quality. My Volvo's have done over 250,000 so am assuming the Mercedes could match this?
