Someone flashed me on the way home (headlights from the car behind unfortunately!) to let me know both tail lights were out.
Brake lights and number plate lights OK.

The fuse list doesn't seem to list the tail lights. Anyone any idea which one they are on for a 1997 car?

The other possibility I expect is the connectors in the nearside B post. I have had brake lights fail due to poor electrical contact in there before.

Any other reasons ? Unlikely that both bulbs would fail but I will check them.

My money is definitely on the connectors in the B post...Exactly the same happened on my '98 Chim.

Are the number plate lights not off the same circuit? My guess would be to check the bulbs.

After checking connectors and looking for fuses, thought I may as well look at the bulbs. Not expecting anything. What's the chances of both failing together ?
Both tail light bulbs found to have gone milky inside and tail lamp filaments failed.
Nice to have an easy fix for a change.
