Hi all-

My 2007 is in need a of a replacement clutch. I've had various quotes from dealers and independents. If I went to an Indy as opposed to a dealer would this affect the second hand value?

Thanks in advance.

Nope.. make no difference but I'd stick to a reputable indy like the ones listed on the FAQ

Yep had a go in a car with that setup at DAE and will be doing the same when mine feels a little weak. Excellent mod for pedal feel and rev matching smile

Currently on 20k... so not sure when it will be!!! So many have had them go at this mileage but some have gone on to do 60K+.....

I dont think it makes much of a difference so long as its a reputable indy

out of interest is your car manual or sporshift and how many miles has it done ?

there have been a few on here reported worn out or something failed at sub 30K miles ....but its only a small percentage out of over 12000 Vantages shipped

70k miles here on my OE clutch on a Jan 2006 car. Ive heard of a couple at 90K miles too.....a lot depends on driver and of course luck if component failure is involved. Doing 20k A road miles versus city miles makes a big difference to clutch wear in either manual or sportshift

It's 2007 Sportshift, with just over 45k. It's on the first clutch as far as I'm aware so very much due!
