Handling not right on my girlfriends car and I've no idea
Discussion
my girlfriends got an issue with her car . . She thinks
Only used the title so people would read it.
basically she has a suUki swift 1.5 glx swift (59 plate)
It's on standard 15 inch alloy wheels.
I have put 4 new matching tyres on her car the make is cooper tyres. I was told these where an ok ish tyre but she says it feels crap in corners. Now I've heard these are a good handling little car and I must admit my Audi A3 feels a lot more sure footed.
But my audi has much wider wheels as did her ds3 Which I think she's trying to compare it too, so I think it's a little car little wheels issue and not tyres.
Anyone got any ideas / views to help

How long since the tyres were put on? I had four new Falkens on my 3 Series last Spring and it felt weird when cornering for a short time while the tyres became scrubbed, after which they felt absolutely fine. I was warned that they have some kind of oily finish which has to wear off before they feel right, which was reflected in my experience.

It's been a good few monthsOut of interest, what exactly is fitted to it? The tyre size and product name, I mean.
Check the tyre pressures first. Most tyre places are extremely bad at getting them right and you'd be amazed how profound an effect it can have on the car's ride and handling.
It's quite possible to have one scary moment in the wet on brand new tyres and then not trust them again until you've driven hard once they're scrubbed in properly. Perhaps she's lost confidence in them, but doesn't know that they're now much better because she's going really easy out of concern.
I suppose there's a chance the tyres are directional and are fitted backwards, or better yet, some are backwards and some correctly oriented
