Just popped up to the local supermarket since I'd forgotten something and couldn't believe it. The drive through (I refuse to use their terminology) at McDonalds was packed and the queue was stretched outside their carpark and into the main access road !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bare in mind there are no attractions/things to visit or see in the vicinity of this place so there's no fun day out excuse.

There really are some spoilt kids in this world. McD on a Sunday? Wow! My kids seem happy enough with their bread and dripping.

I have been hassled in to this by my daughters in the past. You can give them all the good proper food you want but if you want a bit of peace and quiet and smiling kids you have to give in once in a while and take them to maccy D's as they call it

I tried to get McDonalds on christmas day. It was shut. I live by myself, and I cant cook at all.

I just didnt eat and thankfully places were open the next day.

If thats what they like doing for a treat it dosnt bother me. At least they wont be bothering me with their screeming brats.

I know someone who was telling me he took his wife out for a wedding aniversary. I while I'm thinking about which top class place he took her he told me.

KFC ! just imagine him wiping the grease off his chin saying i love you hunny.

Funnily enough I had McDs for lunch today . Eldest had a party to go to in a pub and we were going to eat in the adjoining restaurant. Problem was the restaurant was packed and the youngest was hungry, over the road was a McDs so off we went!!

Meh, give the little buggers whatever they want aslong as they don't get obese. I'm sure worrying about what you eat does more harm than the crap itself.

Cheers,
Rob.

You do realise that such foods are addictive? Humans (hunter-gatherers) were designed to eat meats, vegetables, and fruits like berries and such.

Alcohol is addictive, yet if you drink once every two months are you considered an alcoholic? All things in moderation cannot hurt anyone.

That's what I was thinking. The earnest health-obsessed people I know sure don't seem to be halthier of live a longer life than those who eat what they enjoy eating (within reason, and with an obvious exception made for folks that need to stuff their gobs full of food to feel happy).

To be able to enjoy your daily life and all the little things that make part of it IMHO is better for health than eating/doing stuff you resent because someone else says it's healthy.

That, and given that the recommendations seem to swing wildly over time I would humbly submit that 'good food' isn't exactly the exact science it's purported to be in some quarters.

What do women and KFC have in common?

Once you've finished with the legs and breast, you get a greasy box to lick out....
