Music Download

[richardt]

Can anybody give me any idea how long it takes to download either a track, or an album, from 'say' Napster.

I have set up an account, but thought I would ask first so I know, and have enough time to complete the download.

Thanks.

Depends how fast your internet connection is

I'm not sure how Napster works but if it just lets you download the file from a fast server, a 5mb MP3 file on a 512k link, should take approx. 2 minutes to download.

If you are using p2p programs it can take a lot longer for the program to find people with available download slots sharing the file, and the actual download speed depends on how fast they can upload.

Why not just check if the track you want is available for online purchase :gasp:

just a few of the MP3 download Stores I host, and they seem to be doing a very healthy amount of LEGITIMATE business.
