I'm pretty handy with DIY, electrical and obviously car maintenance but I need a bit of advice on a new integrated washing machine.

Our flat has one that goes on the blink quite often. I'm looking at replacing it. The current one came with the flat and was part of the appliances pack which came with the build. I think it's a Fagor brand.

If I bought a new one of a different brand, obviously making sure that it's the same dimensions, could anyone confirm whether the hinges and magnetic fixings to keep the door closed would be the same or would I have to buy a new door to accommodate the different fixings on the new machine?

Sorry if a daft question.

I thought the machines came with a bespoke fixing kit (hinges etc)- so you'd be attaching those to the existing door

Unfortunately the fixing points on integrated washing machines varies between manufacturers. And often requires a different position for the 35mm hinge hole, such that a new door is required as the new screw fixing is where the old hinge hole is.
