Anyone ever installed a DB9 wind deflector mounting kit?

I'm interested in getting a wind deflector for my early '06 DB9, which doesn't have the pre-installed mounts.
I read in one older post that installation takes about 8 hours of work and isn't really a DIY job. Has anyone actually done it and would care to comment?
