Well here goes - "least worst SUV"! I mean this is PH not Mumsnet FFS.
I suppose if I had to come up with a suggestion it would be a stretched 300C with a Hemi in it, preferably with Nitrous injection!
Not seeing the bigger picture. Appease the OH, while choosing something you can at least tolerate on occasion & all-round draw trending towards win I suppose if I had to come up with a suggestion it would be a stretched 300C with a Hemi in it, preferably with Nitrous injection!
.Probably something silly like calling an Impreza STi or a Lancer Evolution 's
t' or somesuch rubbish, or saying their interiors are dire. These are the performance cars that defined a generation, yet are often derided on here.
Any mention of diesel and 'in gear performance'. This phrase only matters to diesel drivers who like to put the car in top gear as soon as it's going fast enough to avoid stalling and do as much driving as they can there. Enthusiasts, on the other hand, typically know how to use a gear box.
Sample argument:
Poster X: "I love my M3. It's not just the badge and what it represents. It's the car itself. The high revving N/A engine, the rewarding handling, the fact it's sedate around town and can be wrung right out when you fancy it. Oh, and did I mention the noise? It's not just about enjoying a car, it's a car you can be passionate about.
Poster Y: "Yes but the 335d is nearly as fast if you look at in gear times and handles nearly as well up until 7/10ths of the limit. But more importantly, will do 35mpg if driven gently!"

Something along the lines of...
"Why do people slow down and wait for a gap before over taking cyclists? People should just over take them straight away, and squeeze the car coming the opposite way into the curb a bit".
I despair.
I know! The mis-spelling of 'kerb' gets me down, too!"Why do people slow down and wait for a gap before over taking cyclists? People should just over take them straight away, and squeeze the car coming the opposite way into the curb a bit".
I despair.

.
No need to appease the OH - she lives 200 miles away and actually likes my Z4C anyway!
.Seeing the bigger picture, maybe a need to trade-in the OH to be fair; is scrappage an option???

Bet it can't go between 20 and 120 in one gear as quick as mine can
