987 Boxster S tyres - sidewall protection
Discussion
I currently have Bridgestone Re050 tyres fitted and need to order replacement front and rears
I've read threads suggesting both Michelin Super Sports and Goodyear F1's, as well as the Bridgestones, but wanted to check if these both offer the kind of rim protection that the Bridgestones do?
Whilst the advice should be "keep away from the kerbs" I have no doubt the fact that my alloys don't have a mark on them is down to the tyres (as well as the previous owner) because my wife has managed to ruin the wheels on my other car!
Happy to stick with the Bridgestones but if there's a better option I'd like to consider it. My driving is predominantly motorway and dual carriageway during the weekly commute.

This test gives the size of the kerb protector http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2013-Auto-Rev...
It also gives the weight of the tyres which varies a surprizing amount - which gives pause for thought
