Thinking of going for a manual 991, is the gearbox OK? Do Porsche still offer a short shift kit? I also read that the gts has a revised gear linkage which makes it better, could this be retro fitted? Thanks.

I'm not sure when the change came, but i've read a report where all manuals have improved - not just the GTS. I'd contact an OPC to see if it was a MY2015 change.

That's Porsche part number P981.424.010.20 as fitted to the 981 and 718 GT4 and Spyder plus the 718 and 991.2 T. Available from any OPC.

The other option is just to chop 20mm off your existing gear lever. That's the only difference between the parts.

Thanks Twinfan. I also noticed in the 991.2 T the spring is much harder than the 991.1. I'll try that part. Thanks a lot
