I am liking the new shape Qashqai, you can pick one up now for about £14k... however, I really do like the look of the ones which seem to go for 20k-25k with the big 19" alloys... they look like a cut-above and quite imposing
Apart from the big wheels, what are the other differences? Looks-wise, do you think I could simply get a budget version and replace the wheels... or will something look odd/not-quite-right?
Anything else I need to be mindful of?
They don't make the +2 in the new shape.
If only Nissan had a website that showed you the difference between the various trim levels...

...took me all of 2 seconds to find that site, too. Does seem to suggest the 19" wheels are indeed not an option on the lesser spec models. If only Nissan had a website that showed you the difference between the various trim levels...

Erm, yes.
You want one because they look nice? (to you).
Maybe other considerations to note, is the car practical, how does it drive, cabin quality, mpg, maintenance costs, reliability, 19” wheels may ‘look’ imposing but does the ride suffer, depreciation, auto or manual, 4x4 or 2 wd, second hand or new sometimes a PCP can be almost as cheap as used, so PCP vs HP Vs leasing vs cash, is the cabin quality ok, what do Qashqui owners forum say about the car, any known problems, benefits, irks etc
Maybe looks and big wheels is all you need to know

Many thanks for your thoughts. I have driven the old shape, I like the build quality, comfort levels, it's relatively economical and after being in an S2000 for 6 years I enjoy the elevated driving position

Sorry to sound so shallow, *some* of the new Qashai's look gorgeous, and I would like a car that I like the look of.. the budget models look so-so
