Hi Everyone,
Been a long time lurker, but thought I would finally sign up and get involved and see if anyone has ever had to deal with this so called warranty comapany.
The story goes like this.
Brought a Saab 9-3 Aero in november, seemed like a good car on the test drive, love the cars anyway and to some extent coming from a diesel fiesta was 'wooed' by the power. So I thought I would buy, and the 6 month warranty certainly made me more confident in purchasing.
Long story short, its a great car and im very happy with it. Recently noticed that the steering has alot of play in it and it had been diagnosed by a garage as a corroded / warn lower UJ joing at the bottom of the rack. Apparently costs £270 including fitting because the part has to come from sweeden. So i thought I would call upon my warranty company as this wouldnt just appear 2-3 months into ownership..
Turns out they dont cover at all unless the car is completely immobile. Esentially saying that I would have to lose steering in order to claim this.. thats if its not a wear and tear part (like all parts on a car?)
I realise that im problby flogging a dead horse with this warranty company but has anyone else had experiences with them or any sucess at all??
Cheers guys

Phone them, remind them that it's dangerous if left to fail completely, and don't hope.
Warranty refused to do anything even when it was the dealers negligence that nearly ruined my whole engine. Not worth the paper they're written on imo.
If you want a warranty of sorts, AA breakdown repair cover. AA has to attend your car, but phoned them recently when the bottom of my spring snapped, more to check if safe to drive home, they said fine, and get it in a garage and call them, duly did, they paid the £140 for a new spring minus a £35 excess I had to pay. It's about "£10 a month.
