My fiancé has been parking by touch of late and her 6 month old car now boasts the following battle scars:

Front bumper

Back bumper

Is this kind of damage something that a mobile SMART repairer can tackle? I'd prefer to avoid an insurance claim but don't want to pay out for two full bumper resprays either!

Cheers.

Most would have no problems with that, they aren't always add cheap as you might expect. My mother had a very similar repair on the front passenger side and it cost £250 in Smart Refinished in Dyce. That being said, it looks absolutely perfect now.

I'd buy a touch up pen and see what else happens in the next 6 months! (& have a review meeting!)

ideal for a smart repair , get some quotes and remember bodyshops can do the same in their heated workshops vs bandits that it outside on a winters day

If you're selling the car immediately a smart repair is a quick fix... but if you're holding on to the car you'd be better off with at a professional body shop. My experience of mobile repairs is that they're always noticeable a few weeks down the line.

smart is small to medium accurate repair technique

any painter can do it , its just that some cowboys that work in the street give others a bad name

Thanks for the advice guys smile

As it's only painted plastic parts that she's scraped, I'm tempted to leave paying for a proper repair until near the end of the lease. It's not going to corrode, and I'd go ballistic if it got repaired only for another house side to jump out at it...!

Might have a go at temporarily hiding it with a touchup pen just to stop the poor thing looking so abused. And get a few quotes in the meantime, from both mobile and bodyshops for a comparison.
