Hello,

I know its not the "done" thing to make a first post on a forum and ask for help,
but I was just wondering if any of the wise old owls on here can answer my question.

I picked this badge up from a car boot for £8 Sunday just passed, and spent 2 days trying to
figure out what model it comes from? headache
Always had AM posters on my walls as a child so I was drawn to it.

If anyone could enlighten me id be grateful, its as close as im going to get to owning
a AM so would be nice to know smile and any recommendations on cleaning it?

Thanks

I would say that the badge has come from an AM V8, Oscar India model

From about 1985 ish they changed the design a bit loosing the 'step' around the outside and also gaining a green background to the 'Aston Martin' and this was also in a different font. In the mid 1970's they were often coloured gold rather than chrome. I could say the gold is a bit 'tacky' but I think it safer to say it's now a bit dated and hasn't aged well

Nice. Start with washing up liquid and water, possibly rubbing alcohol around the edges, then leave it like that and enjoy it.

Thanks, I shall try that. I know it may have seemed a silly question but didnt want to put anything on it and cause bad reaction, best to check.
