Hopefully someone on here may be able to shed some light. I've had my old paper licence since 1996, but need to renew to a photocard licence due to an address change. Seeing as I don't have a passport, it'll have to be done by post with form D1.
The problem is where to send it.
To exhange paper licence for photocard with no change of details £20 and send to SA99 1BU, or
Change of personal details; change of address on photocard licence=Free and send to SA99 1BN.

What if you need both, which address do I send to, and do I have to pay £20???
Thanks in advance :-)

The second one but you might then need to send it off to the first one when you get it back. If the dvla still had local offices you could have got it sorted out in an hour but this way will take you weeks.

Use the change of address form. As paper licences are now longer issued you will automatically be sent a photocard one free of charge.

I did this last week and was pretty impressed with the system. Less than 10 minutes to fill out the online form and the new licence arrived 4 days later.

Either set your phone to use UK English, or stop accepting predictive text corrections for words you know to be wrong.

No, but it's a crappy excuse, and one that gets used far too frequently.

You must have too much time on your hands Mr perfect if you have to pick at other peoples small mistakes.
