The Kemplinski is traditional grand and central on the Maximilianstrasse, go past with it on the right and turn first right, there is a car park right underneath and you can get a lift up to the hotel.
By the rail station I use the Sofitel which is quite new and great value and again you park right underneath with lift up to reception.

Within would be better, it will be an overnight stay as part of this years road trip so near bars and touristy things would be ideal

There are several hotels with underground, gated car parks near the station. I stayed in this one a few years ago for the Beer Festival & this has underground car park. It also a stones throw from station & restaurants etc.

Stayed in the Kemplinski a few years ago on a business trip, nice hotel and there were many 911s and high end cars parked in the streets around there. Didn't strike me as an area I'd be worried about leaving my P&J parked overnight on the street if necessary.
