ford EDIS module - output?

You can use a box of tricks to simulate an analogue signal for the old school tacho, I use
EDIS on an RV8 with a digital to analogue converter this will give you an insight http://www.dainst.com/info/edis/edis.html

Autosportslabs has a diagram for diodes that take a signal from the cool pack to old tacho
There are usually 3 places to get a signal from, EDIS, ECU & cool pack with diodes
If you want an horrible jumpy tacho the diode route is fine There are usually 3 places to get a signal from, EDIS, ECU & cool pack with diodes
(didn't work for me an many others) if you want the tach stable you need to build a simple circuit to simulate the output to drive the tacho correctly from the EDIS module IDM pin
