Parking permanently outside someone elses house
Discussion
You know the type of thing
You buy/ rent a house in a nice little village. To keep the place neat and tidy you make sure you park your car out of the way around the back
Someone up the road buys a house with no parking and decides to keep their car outside your house.
How much would it get to you?

I read this story in the Daily Mail. I don't think it was any of the residents who were complaining. To be fair, they were behind the owner. It was in fact the tourists who were complaining about the car ruining their photographs. Idiots. Someone even mentioned the National Trust not being happy either. What the f*ck has it got to do with the National Trust? As long as it's parked legally, I don't see the problem.
What a load of crap. I'm pleased to read that all the local residents have come to his defence, rather than also being so daft as to think he's somehow spoiling the aspect of their village by having the sheer unadulterated cheek to try and live a normal life in it.
How much of an a
hole would you need to be to go and ask someone to move their car, parked outside their own home, just so you can take photographs without it there?

It would be most gentlemanly if he did that instead. However, if he can't for whatever reason - and it's his gaff that he's parked out, then it's his house, he can do what he likes.
If national trust were that fussed, they'd have double-yellow lines painted up.
In some ways I think it makes quite a cool photo - the very old and sober twixed the very modern lairy - and an elderly grinning old man owning both. Brilliant!

perhaps he could upset the twitter t
tterati by petitioning to have the large area of land behind him in the picture of him and his car turned into residential parking.
Seriously! tourist moaning that a residents car is spoiling their view of someone else's home!? First world problems and all that ehh?

The car park around the back refers, I think, to the NT-owned row of cottages to the left of the picture. AIUI, the Corsa belongs to the guy who owns the cottage on the right.Paul O said:

Top place to stay is Cotswold house - utterly stunning and the food (lots of local game) is out of this world. The local beers are pretty special too.
