Hi all
Im new to the forum so thought I would post up my car, it a weekend car and great to drive. I have had it just over a year now and love it. I have done some modifications to it like wheels, carbon front grills, clear side indicators and rear brake light, cleaned and painted the engine bay, had a remap and stainless steel quad exhaust system. Will be doing other bits to it when the weather turns a bit better.

Thats nice what wheels are they? Mine are 3SDM 0.01 they look slightly thinner on the spokes like VMR wheels
Those look to be original BMW wheels, style 127 or "CSL wheels" as they're more often known. Quite often fitted to Z4s because they look bloody lovely! Many of us on here tend to stick to wheels by the original manufacturer, aftermarket stuff tends to look a little off to my eye.Your car looks good, though - wheels a bit big for my taste but otherwise really nice. I've not seen that sort of gloss paintwork on the engine bay before but rather like it.
What made you get it remapped? It's rare to hear of that without significant engine modifications to one of these, what are the results like?

I'm with McSam, what's the remap like? Can't imagine power is up much, but I'd guess the peak torque is higher up the rev range?
The wheels look big but only the same 19's that the csl wheels are. As for the map i had it done as i had read that it did make a difference to the MPG. I know its not a car for that but thought i would give it a go. It has made a difference to the higher rev range and feels more aggressive at 60mph onwards. The MPG has definitely improved, i was getting 24mpg now getting around 26.9mpg and thats spirited driving. But really notice it on a run now getting 37mpg and a long run at a steady 70mph. So with the small power gain and mpg increase i would say it was worth getting done.

The wheels are not the 3sdm's nor are they genuine CSL's which are evenly spoked any symmetrical. I'll find out what they are tomorrow.
Damn, I was too busy studying the spoke/rim edge to see if they were copies, I missed the asymmetry
certainly designed to look like CSLs, though. A cheaper source of this wheel style could be handy!Re. the remap, fair enough, sounds like you've noticed an improvement. I guess you don't have dyno results from it?
to be honest i dont have them no and not going to say what the power is as i just dont know. but i am looking to do a rolling road day this year with the Z4 forum so will be interested to see what it is doing. when i picked up the car i got all the paperwork with it but no sheet in there. i was going to go back and see if it was just not put in and can be printed off again, but not had chance yet. its not a massive gain i know that much but there is something there. this could also be down to the new exhaust system and the noice of it all now that just makes you think its better.
