Insurance?????
Discussion
That time of year again when insurance is due for renewal and current people (who shall remain namesless) have increased by 25%. Is this right? Is this what others are finding?
Best price seems to be AIB www.aib-insurance.co.uk but has anyone else used them?
Who else are people using?

I went direct to Aviva and found them to be cheaper than anyone else.
It depends on age and location a lot and where the car is kept.
Its a shame Mannings have changed there policy regarding track days but understandable
given the high values of cars doing track days
Funny you mention that, I've been searching for quite a number of weeks with many places and going directly through Aviva was the cheapest by hundreds! including all the options. It depends on age and location a lot and where the car is kept.

Im told that from then Euro days are £250 and £500 for over 100K value car but UK will stay the same.

This is correct - I am with them and having expired in December am on the new policy terms. I did a bit of looking around and for me this still worked out to be the best option. The proverbial elephant in the room is that the car will quite likely be worth over £100k by the time the next renewal comes in, and then I may have a decision to make (take the pain of £500/day, trade out to a cheaper LHD version, down to gen 1 or 996 or alternatively add to the fleet and only use the current toy for road duties and UK TDs).Im told that from then Euro days are £250 and £500 for over 100K value car but UK will stay the same.

Mines up for renewal in next 2 weeks and the renewal quote is virtually same as last year. Have price checked elsewhere and its competitive. Me and wife as drivers (both wrong side of 40), business use, limited to 5k miles pa, full NCB, Hampshire, 2007 997T, value £45k. premium is £195. then add protected NCB and legal protection to give total of £255.

Hi, who is that with ?Mike
Lockton do a good Chubb policy which covers track days subject to you informing them before the day and them being approved (e.g. ATDO). I had 4 (now 3, will have 4 again soon) cars with them. When searching for GT3 insurance, it was only them and Mannings that did included TDs, Mannings were cheaper by about £200 (~£1k vs £1.2k) and Lockton price matched them
