Hello all ..
assume this topic will start an interesting thread ...

Check my profile .... had a few Lotus cars (Loti) ..... about to step to the dark side ... TVR T350c

thoughts
checks (I have googled till the cows came home and went back out again)
Issues
am I mad (not rhetorical )

note ... the car I am looking at ...
2005 ... service till 2012 in UK with TVR service centre (cant remember the business)
had the top end rebuilt ... head off etc ..late 2012 ..

car arrived here not long after and has just sat around ( 35000 miles when engine done , 37000 miles now)

see link to aussie car sales site http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/_/AGC-AD...

may the roads always be twisty ...

Get it bought, it's not like you live somewhere with no support network or specialists to fix the inevitable, incessant faults it'll develop.

In all seriousness, if can afford it and are willing to put up with its delicate nature and you won't be relying on it to get anywhere, just buy it today before somebody else does.

Also, maybe get a HPI check done on its UK identity to see if it's ever been upside down in a Cambridgeshire puddle.

I rely on my Tuscan, same speed six engine, to get me from UK to Spain, Germany, South of France and back every year so if the engine is OK, you dont need to worry on that side.
The question for me was, why only a top end rebuild.

Do you know who did the work, if so give them a call.
If was from one of the good builders, they will be able to advise you.
If you need advise on the reputation of the builder, go to the PH TVR zone. Try General but there is a T350 site as well for more specific info.
You can also try posting the details of the car on there as well. The previous UK owner may be a PHer

As with your Lotus, service it properly and it will be fine.
T350's are amazing cars to drive. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Cool thought to check if its been damaged ... and to contact the last service centre (2012) ..thanks heaps

I have info on the owner from new , he brought it to australia ... lived in Dubai .... now resides in Asia somewhere ... so one owner ... lived with in UK ... brought to australia ... then left it behind to be sold to a dealer who has had it for 2 years ...

I drove it last week .... I driven a lot of interesting stuff ... but never ever ever ever have I been bitten by a car so much as that T350 ... I fell in love so quick ..... I didnt want to hand it back ....

just doing my research and checking out the engine ...

it idles at 500 rpm (low) so shows low oil pressure .... getting a TVR guy here to look at it ...

That's how I felt about the Sagaris I drove and I'm now in the process of buying one, if it all checks out go for it.
