How about the extras on politics as well? I'm not sure whether that Karl chap is for real but he's funny regardless

Watched Dylan Moran's "Monster" last night.

Side-splitting stuff.

Haven't seen Politics yet.

I thought Animals was appalling. Watched it last Christmas after watching Peter Kaye. One was very funny. The other was Ricky Gervais showing how difficult it is to follow up a successful TV series.

(IMHO of course).

Thing you have to remember with Gervais is that he isnt and has never been a stand up comic.

Given that info, its a remarkable success I think.

I'm a big Gervais fan but have to say that the DVD Politics is utter cr•p (IMHO). I struggled to raise a smile and, maybe I'm old school, but jokes about the Holocaust don't work. Got fed up after that - one for the car boot sale I think.
I thought Animals was good, though.

Same sentiments from me on this one I'm afraid.

Gervais has always been about shock humor though. I guess the further down that road he goes the funnier he becomes to some while more alienating to others.

I'm inclined to agree.

Animals was totally brilliant from start to finish.

Politics much less funny than it should have been, and some parts were simply crude and offensive without any real wit behind them.

That said, I still think Gervais is excellent.

I thought both were very brave, very astute and very, very funny.
