...picked up my baby from Roush after about 2 months without her last Friday, then proceeded to have the most enjoyable blast up to Oxford Friday night and home to kent on Saturday...the grin is finally back!

Few points you may appreciate...Roush premises are worth a visit - lots of gorgeous toys on show inside pristine workspace...including journo's Ford GT(40), latest Mustang (what a noise from the V8...and a dash that doesn't look or feel at all american) and Paul C's race car (good on yer mate for flying the flag...think the body's holding up remarkably well for a track car!)

interestingly, after 2 days away from home, my eldest son (5 yrs) decided to go and spend 5 minutes hugging the noble (which he had thought was never to return) before even approaching his father. Am I teaching him my love of cars a little too well??

Remind us:
Why was it in hospital so long, and is it better now?

I was there today. The GT's looking a bit sad after being in a gravel trap, and having LOTS of paint shot blasted off it. It's a great place and rather handy for me (2 miles away). It's just a shame that I have to choose between them and Vegantune. Bribe time

I had an annoying rub with a low kerb at 10 miles an hour when the car didn't turn the same direction as the wheels owing to a thick carpet of wet leaves on the ground (I wasn't even breaking...just trundling at what I thought was a careful speed). The resultant semi-off road experience resulted in the requirement for a replacement front left wishbone and wheel. I managed to source the wheel for 1/2 price from TVR Gatwick who were doing a noble garage sale...(Roush took most of the rest of their stuff)...but it all took a bit of a while to organise, and then, when I was all set to pick her up in December the wife fell ill and I had to go home instead to look after the 3 boys. Roush closed over Christmas/NY hence I've only just collected her.

Wish her well from us mate, (the wife, not the car!)
Glad you've finally got her back (the car, not the wife!)

Glad the TVR gatwick tip paid off

And what obes said.

PS. get the kids into karting asap, it'll cost you a fortune but think of it like a pension scheme - if they become the next schumachers you'll be laughing in your old age

nice one nathan - thanks for the tip....thanks for the sentiment....and on the last point, it'll take a bit of wife convincing, but look out! here they come.
