I'll be buying a new car in summer 2016 (I like to plan ahead!)

I'll be spending roughly £25,000.

Currently 20 with a BMW Z4 Coupe 3.0si.

How many/which of these cars will be available to buy for £25k? (would have to be good examples - FSH, preferably low mileage <50k):

997.2 C2 or C2S
Late 987 Cayman S
981 Cayman S (optimistic)
BMW M4

Any cars you guys would also recommend? Cars in a similar vein as above that will be around this price mark in 18 months.

I think you should wait till Spring 2016 before even considering this.

Are you mad? Summer 2016?? You could be dead by then. Enjoy the Z4, you're 20. I was like you albeit with a 330i at your age, couldn't wait to climb up the car ranks, getting faster and better my biggest spend on a car was my Elise at 21, got so nervous about having all my money stuck in it that I sold it. Now I've an M5 which cost me much less, reason being I realised that getting a house is more important, and having money for other things. As said above in Spring 2016 if you still want to spend £25k on a car come back to us.

Not sure the M4 will drop quite that quickly!

Buy the best, rarest M car you can find (and afford) next winter, it will be BMW's 100th anniversary in 2016 so it'll be worth more by the end of the year ;-)

+1

Enjoy the z4. A lot can change in 18 months, particularly at the OPs age.
