A better recording of the 2x 4 pot noise finally. Some saying this is the regular cross plane Mustang, but I reckon it is the flat plane gt350.

Yea or nay?

Near 100hp / litre factory and undoubtedly more than 100 aftermarket within emission compliance.

Yet, but I don't really like the sound of them.

I think they started the timer on one, and finished it on the other one that was half a lap in front. wink

I unashamedly love the noise. cool

I think that video is a regular cross plane.

I've had a ride in a couple of V8 single plane Ferraris and they sound totally different, much more like 4 cylinder inline bikes, sounds like it is doing loads of revs.

I have a VFR750 Honda, 90 deg V4. Same sort of difference with an inline 4. On a mates ZX9 for example again sounds like it is doing much more revs.

Has anyone actually seen the new motor in the car?

I'm wondering if they've done some sort of ridiculous trickery to make it sound like a cross plane v8?

You could run a header across to the other collector, effectively swapping a pair over and you'd get the offbeat exhaust pulses? It'd just be ridiculous to package... Unless they do the intake from outside the motor and the exhaust in the centre (like a 'hot v') without the turbos?

I only mention it as somebody tried it (with awful results) to make a lexus v8 sound like a flat plane...
