Eventually it will sell.
I agree it's pricey to an extent but......
For every Internet warrior that states how over priced a classic car is there are a million more saying 'rip off Cosworth price' 'rip off integrale price' 'rip off e36 m3 gt2 price'.
Then what happens is the car sells and then 12 months later you look back and realise just how cheap it was and how you wished you bought it.
Eg the £10k escort cosworth, £10k sierra cosworth, £8k e30 m3 cab, £12k e36 gt2, £20k 911 supersport etc

I would argue £12k is still too much for an E36 M3, unless it was a LHD GTI agree it's pricey to an extent but......

Totally over priced and horrible to drive nowadays but the way old Ford prices are rocketing upwards someone might just be daft enough to buy it.
These cars were not even very good when new (crap brakes, horrible crashy suspension and a wheezy cvh engine which had good power at 130 bhp but was not a nice engine). Last time I had one of these was in 2009 an it was possibly one of the worst cars I have had the misfortune to own. By contrast if you get a Golf Gti of the same vintage today it still feels quite a nice car to drive, they don't suffer from the dreaded rot that makes most mk4 escorts dissolve.

£12K wouldn't prize out of me my one owner mint unmolested Dakar yellow E36 Evo Convertible 60K FSH (20 odd stamps) and every invoice from new... I am looking for one but if someone could link to any rhd gt or gt2 for sale then I'd be grateful - they just don't exist.

Had a series 1 for a short time and it was worse. Tiny drum brakes at the back, the front bulkhead flexed where the brake servo actuating mechanism was every time you pressed the brake pedal, and the travel on the front struts was exceptionally short. It also rusted at every weld point as soon as you looked at it. The 'MkV' Escort is incorrectly remembered as a poor car but it was a massive improvement on this mistakenly revered piece of crap.
The Fiesta RS Turbo and XR3i were much better handling/steering/stopping cars and established the template that is still largely used on the current Fiesta, although they still had the s

That rs turbo has been for sale for over a year now.
Surely dealers need to sell stock every six months?
He prob sells modern stock and has a few old fast fords that he will sell for the right price. They're going up anyway so no need to sell quicklySurely dealers need to sell stock every six months?
I have an rs turbo and bought it eighteen months ago when this was for sale, from memory it was £3800 for a very decent example.
His one is not even 90 spec and has an Irish number plate so is it two owners since in UK?
An exceptional one of these is £8k.
They also want nearly £12k for this Racing Puma - a good £5k over the top price for a mint one. This one isn't even a brilliant example.

I bought a series 2 rsturbo 1989 (G-reg) back in 1996. It was the best one I could find at the time with about 65k on the clock, all the ford services, every panel original with ford stamps and so on. I recall it costing £4,500. As a 19 yr old student it took everything I had financially, but it was great fun.
However...
A week after purchase the porus sump drained all my new castrol RS oil onto the garage floor.
A few months after purchase a couple of light bubbles appeared behind the sunroof that over the next few years proceeded to eventually burst right through. At one point before repair you would get utterly soaked whenever you went round a tight bend as the sunroof gutters filled up the roof area and dropped the build up all over you (hehe...)
When I taped over the fuel filler and other areas for the brunters top speed runs, the paint came off with the tape, showing it had had a complete re-spray that my naive eyes hadn't spotted. Probably done a short time before sale to hide the roof rust..
To drive it was perfect and had been really cared for however the rest of the bodywork started to rust away from the slam panel, to the scuttle panel, the sills, the roof and so on and it was a permanent battle to keep it from flaking away.
I sold the car in 2002 and by then the body had been patched all over to keep it going. It had completed 165k by that point and competed in quite a few top speed shootouts at Brunters. Great fun car and one that I cut my knuckles working on over and over as I did most of the work myself. The highest it ever produced was 206bhp at the wheels in 4th gear.
Anyway - point being that I always wonder how, my lovely car in 1996 was showing rust all over, only 7 years old, but some people still have mint ones in 2015. They must have done something completely different to me :-). I wonder if some were made with crap metal and others with much better.
Oh yeah, whilst folks may say the RST is crap to drive, once modified properly, you can have great fun. I managed a 63 second lap of knockhill in mine. Not bad for a fwd putt putt bang bang. :-)
Cheers
