I have a Renault Trafic van about a year old and I have had it from new. It has now done 9800 miles. For the last six months it has had what I think is clutch judder. On pulling away in first it kangaroo jumps especially in traffic.
I was driving in London last week and it was nearly undriveable. When it is cold there is no problem, it gets worse during the day. It has been in to Renault once and they couldn't find anything. There is definitely something going on, when it is at its worse you can audibly hear it.

Can anybody shed any light on this?

Cheers

I would be thinking DMF failure.

Although I am not sure if it has one, but it sounds like it.

Dual Mass Flywheel.
Quick Google search brings up lots on the subject of clutch judder with Renault Trafic vans.
What warranty is left on yours & what has the seller said they will do about it?

Still has full warranty, it is only a year old. I've not contacted them yet for the second time.

I would have thought bad engineering was a thing of the past. Why do vehicles still have problems? Rhetorical!

So have you taken it to them when it is doing it ? And explained exactly when it occurs ?

Dont let them fob you off, if there is a repeatable problem you can show them, insist it is fixed. That's why you buy new and get a warranty..

The fact it is French shouldnt be an excuse for poor quality
