Can anyone point me towards any websites on which I might find an S-Video2 to Scart lead to connect a Digicam directly to a VHS recorder.

Quick google reveals this:

www.hificables.co.uk/ProductsList/mcs/CategoryID/2387/GroupID/709/CatName/SCART%20to%20S-Video/v/

Quite expensive - be careful as well as it appears there is a difference between scart In and scart Out...

I only followed one link - for more choices click here

If you're handy with a soldering iron, thats the pinout of a SCART connector.

They're extremely easy plugs to solder, and they come apart very easily. The S-video cables are a bit more tricky, but if you've got an old one knocking around, a wire stripper and a bit of insulation tape would make a useful but rather scruffy cable Another option is to buy a cable from Maplin:

www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=35910&TabID=1&source=3&doy=8m1

The cable above is switchable, so it can be used either way.

edc, I bought mine from www.tvcables.co.uk/

Be careful you get S-Video -> SCART and not SCART -> S-video as they do NOT work both ways!
