rear tyre advice

hiya guys i could just use a bit of advice. I need two new back tyres for my VXR8 as there a tad on the (ahem) slick side. How much am i looking at per tyre as prices seem to vary a lot. Ive been googling it and struggling to find some options. In your opinions, what are the best ones to buy, and wheres the best to get them done? I'm based in Wigan, Lancashire. Cheers in advance.

Stock answer is Michelin Pilot Super Sports but they are a premier tyre with price to match.

If you like enjoying the full performance of your car you'll appreciate the extra grip MPSS offer, otherwise I'm sure others will be able to recommend other brands.

As to where to get them, either camskill or Tyreleader as very good on price. If you were further down south Sarge 4x4 on this forum has his own tyre shop but probably not ideal given your location.

I would love MPSS on the rear but i have not found any yet in 20"

They do them for the front as they are the same size as the Astra J VXR

Purchased my Kumho KU39s from there 275/35/19s for £98 each delivered free. Tyre prices change daily on this site aswell as tyreleader.

Had a set of MPSS on the rear ditched them when they expired due to the road noise.

My MPSS run very quiet? Granted they can be a little difficult to tract down in 20" size but I back ordered mine and 4 weeks later they turned up at Mitcheldeavor Tyres.

I found them quieter than the RE050's Mark but after riding in an 8 with Kumhos fitted the Kumhos are quieter.

Dont think they will make much noise reversing out the garage for a wash and polish and then put back ?

They are good when new but get a lot better once they've done a few hundred miles.
