Noting all the fuss over passing on cheaper prices for oil/gas, why aren't people getting excited about passing on another commodity saving (IE currency)?

I have noticed that a base 911 costs about £73,500 now and a year ago it was about £72,500 (increase of £1000).
In that same time, GBP has appreciated by about 10% against the euro (from 1GBP = 1.20 to 1GBP = 1.32 euro).
This means the 911 should be about £7k cheaper doesn't it?

Porsche 911 on the German website is 90,417 euro (about £68,000).

Has anyone ordered directly from Porsche and brought it back to the UK (not via a UK dealer) ?
