Is this the HID with built in cap ballasts that I need?
Discussion
Same kit as the one I got (but a different seller)
The passenger side I did fit, I found it a very tight fit to try and twist the cap on, but just spotted on your link, that it mentions to change the new rubber seal over with the old one already on the car. Might be worth bearing that in mind when you fit yours

Yep
Ian do you remember what postage option you went for on the HID kit, i've been offered 2 & did you get hit with customs?Registered Auspost Mail will be A$25 (3-10 working days)
Express Courier will be A$40 (2-4 working days)
Yep, got caught with customs, no duty as they are under £135, but 20% VAT plus £8 courtesy of Royal Mail.
About £80 odd delivered in the end.

Is there a kit for the Monaro, could save me some hassle....
I'm all about saving me work
At the moment no one seems to do them for the Monaro, altho on the "braided brakes and HID" thread, it has been talked about.I'm all about saving me work

I don't have access to my car until the weekend so if anyone before then could measure the cap on the back of the Monaro headlight would be helpful

I've been in contact with the seller and once I confirm if the cap holding the existing bulbs is 66mm on the Monaro he will speak to his supplier to see if they can make a H11 kit. Just want to also confirm the Monaro low beam bulb is a H11?

Worst case, if they can supply tidy ballasts I might be able to make some caps to hold them.I don't have access to my car until the weekend so if anyone before then could measure the cap on the back of the Monaro headlight would be helpful

I was just under the bonnet doing a few jobs and so pulled the cap off the main beam. I wasn't prepared to remove the battery or airbox to get to the dipped beam, but the caps superficially look to be the same.
The hole in the light assembly is 80mm diameter (the cap itself has a flange with a rubber seal, so is bigger overall).
I hope this works out, as I would love to fit some HIDs, but don't want to drill holes in the caps.
