996 Tyres (993 Turbo Wheels Fitted) - Advice Please!
Discussion
I have just bought a 1998 996 C2.
It has 993 turbo wheels fitted and needs two new rear tyres, it is currently running 265/35/18 pilot sport 2 tyres.
I have been looking online and read that the 996 C2 is supposed to run 285/30/18 so shall I fit these to my 993 turbo wheels or put two new 265/35/18 on there?
Also are there any Toyo tyres that are suitable for Porsches? I can get these at trade so if there are then great.
How nessessary is it to use Porsche 'N rated' tyres? I assume it is otherwise they wouldn't say so... but then they were specificed 18 years ago now so has modern tyre tech moved to meet the same standards?

Many thanks, mine is a 996.1 so OEM tyres would be what is fitted (265/35/18).
I'll check the width of the wheels and the OEM tyre size that they would have come with but the tyres look correct on them.
The main concern I had in regard to tyre size was if I had 265 tyres on the back some something that was supposed to have 285's on!
