I think I'm getting close to needing a set of reading glasses frown

I've always had excellent eyesight but I've noticed recently that I'm starting to have to hold things a bit further than normal to read them - by my reckoning, I'm fine up to about 12" to 13", anything closer and I can't focus on it. No issues working on laptop or PC etc...

For instance, this - http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0145/5182/files/R... - I have no issues with at the 14"-16" distance they recommend.

At what sort of distance did you feel compelled to do something about it and what's the best route? Full eye test and custom lenses or just get a set of boggo ones for the time being until it get particularly bad?

Cheers in advance.

I'm in exactly the same boat. I went for a full eye test last week, as there are things that can happen in eyes which can have bad consequences if left too long, and which you may not know about unless be spotted in a full eye test. I'd rather something serious was spotted than drag out the inevitable and end up with a worse problem. Got a free test at Tesco.

Walked out with a receipt for £99 for my first pair of glasses, which should be ready this week...............oh well, it was buy one get one free.........
