Hey All,

Just sold my very uneconomical 2001 Seat Ibiza Cupra Revo remapped to 200bhp. In exchange for a 2009 Volvo C30 D5 remapped by Volvo's crazy arm, Polestar, to: 205 bhp and 450NM of torque.

Safe to say I'm rather pleased thus far smile

Lovely. Most of these you see out and about have the lowly 1.6 engine and have no 'go' to match with the sporty alloys and bodykit - yours has more than enough umff and looks rather understated.

Cheers guys, really appreciate the comments! I genuinely have fallen in love with it.

I'm not thinking of modding in all honesty, the only thing I'm considering is getting the Milltek exhaust system installed. However, as it's a diesel it wouldn't change the sound much and would just look aesthetically better.

Gotta say the 5 pot engine makes quite a growl. Reminds me more of a V8 petrol than a diesel!

Great engine, did you manage to get a manual as it seems a manual d5 in the c30 would be very rare

It was indeed like a needle in a haystack but yup managed to find a manual, with 90,000 miles on the clock (but one owner) so not too bad for a diesel.

Snapped it up straight away. Touch wood so far so good biggrin

Ferrita seem to get decent write ups for their Volvo exhausts - might be worth looking at?

Agreed! Unfortunately I don't think any of the pre 2010 facelift models came in blue frown Was after a white model but was almost completely impossible to find one, unless I wanted the (lesser) 2.0 4 pot diesel.

At the minute it says my average MPG is 48 (my old 130bhp Fabia VRS mk1 diesel did about 50ish), so not too bad at all! That's a mixture of country lane driving giving it the beans and the occasional motorway trek.

It's the most comfortable motorway cruiser I've ever been in, so quiet and refined. It just sort of floats down the motorway at 80-90.

Not too bad giving the weight, and power on offer!

Bloody hell I need one of these in my life.

Love my Merc, but its hard to justify 2k a month at 22mpg.

The C30 has been my favourite hatch since it came out.

You won't regret it, trust me! What Merc have you got at the minute? Yeh, my old Ibiza Cupra was barely doing 20mpg and it was bloody crippling. Although I did about £250 a month on fuel....you must be driving pretty far!

I'd say whatever you do get the D5 as the 5 pot engine is way better and more refined than the 2.0 diesel 4 pot. Plus it actually likes to rev. What kind of budget are you looking at?

There's literally ONE for sale, and it looks chavved up:

I spend about £500 a month on fuel at the mo, its an E500. The problem is I bloody love the thing, every moment of driving it. Bit of a dilemma, I know i'd miss it terribly.

If I do go sensible a D5 is a strong potential, C30 or S40/V50. An S60 D5 gave me a serious fright off the line in my old Clio 200, has kind of stuck in my mind.

Sure I'll get some up later smile Only thing is it's dirty as hell, so won't take a pic of the front until it's cleaned!

Looks exactly the same as this though:

The facelifted one in 2010 has the same back but has this front (also doesn't come with D5 engine):

Been a while since I've heard a standard one but are you sure the Miltek only has an aesthetic improvement ?

Does sound damn good! Although I'm pretty sure that's had a DPF delete?
