I need the sort out my Taimar pedal box, being a bit on the short side and my car being ordered for a long person is a bit of a problem. Is it possible to put a floor mounted setup in like my later tuscan? Or is it better to try and sort the original setup out? The throttle pedal is awful as it is now.

Do you have any picture or details for the Tilton one?

Did you need to put any additional strengthening put into the floor?

Anything will be an improvement on the setup as it is

I have modified my original M box, to twin MC and no booster + hydraulic clutch. The biggest improment is imho to remove the plate toward the "pocket" next to the feet's to get more space for the pedals

There are long/short/standard pedal boxes, perhaps pictures of what you have got would help, throttle pedal also has different extensions on the carb end and so gives different ratios to your foot (later cars have limits stops too).
This said the cross over to the later pedal box and (leyland) pedals which action so much better requires the shell to be modified.
The OE item is a modified TR6 item with a bespoke TVR throttle pedal.

Its a 76 Taimar and it looks like a TR6 item with a modified throttle pedal, held in place with a bit of hose pipe and a jubilee clip!
I'm not at home at the moment so can't post any pics.

Don't have any photos to hand Andy. Stiffening probably not required, but added some additional light members into the chassis anyway smile

Hi Pete, do you have an additional knee on your right leg ? :-)

...and yes I know it's a pain to get the cage leg to "hide" in front of the door, and connect to the outrigger

If you were to remove the pedal pad, then weld a 3" bolt to the back of the pad, weld a threaded boss onto the pedal arms and a couple of lock nut...bingo, adjustable pedal box, as in the Griff/Chim, reset the lever arm onto the carb, and weld a nut to accept a foot pedal limitstop to the current throttle pedal.
Job done.
I have a Willwood set in mine...
