Silicone around headlamp bezels?

Evening all. Between scraping off old powder coat and rust (lots of it) I've been taking on other jobs to keep me sane, I took off the headlamp bezels and cleaned up the glass and lense today, they were filthy! The chromes not in the best condition but will do for now as crashing my company car on the ice is going to set me back a few hundred.
Anyhoo, my question is, has anyone siliconed in around the headlamp bezels? I'm thinking it might look quite nice but would like to see some pictures if anyone can oblige?

Silicone is not good for car body sealing. You need to use Sikaflex EBT from Screwfix or tigerseal from auto shops. These are both polyurethane sealants and are therefore more able to resist harsh weather and temperature changes and have significantly greater grab (stickiness)
