Cat C, track car and V5 question.
Discussion
Hi,
Looking to buy a car - It'll be used as a track car, and not used on the road.
It was Cat C due to damage to the front wing, bonnet and bumper, and has been repaired.
If I buy it, do I need to apply for a new V5, as it's not going back on the road?
How do I prove ownership if there's no V5?

I mean, I know that the V5 is only the details of the registered keeper, not necessarily the owner.
Do I just need a sales receipt to prove ownership?
Yes !!!If its never going to be used on or kept on the public roads then a receipt showing a Vin number would be better than a V5 which isnt anything whatsoever to do with ownership ! Do I just need a sales receipt to prove ownership?
