Hi all. Having stumbled across this baby last week, I viewed on Saturday and did the deal yesterday. Scared and excited in equal measure!

Will keep you updated!

Always loved Gamma's. My Father had a couple in the early 80's, only one destroyed its engine!

Such a handsome, clean design

Is this the car that throws its cambelt off if you put the steering on full lock?

It is lovely but you are a braver man than Ibiggrin

Bit more to it than that, but... yes. Whoever thought a cambelt-driven power steering pump was a good idea needs a slap, for sure. I wonder if it's possible to retro-fit an electro-hydraulic pump?

Utterly gorgeous!

Lovely, and very elegant. Always lusted/wondered about these coupes, but never wanted to take the risk myself. smile

Any chance of seeing it at an SS in the future?

A mate of a mate had one of those back in the eighties, I'm not sure I ever saw it in daylight so I can't remember what colour it was. If you get the list of previous owners, see if there was one in Cheshire in mid-80s.

Don't know if it will have arrived by then - it needs some recommissioning, but it will definitely be at Auto Italia at Brooklands in May

You must, must, must change the cam belts; and check the PAS pump isn't starting to seize.

That looks lovely, must be pretty rare now, I seem to remember reading many years ago that there was only around a hundred of them imported to Britain.

I've been looking at that for a while - it does look lovely my previous experience with an auto stopped me pulling the trigger.

Good luck - and join the Gamma Consortium

This was in the Classics/Retros thread. Did you see it there, or is it just a coincidence?

The Gamma Coupe really is a fabulous looking car. I remember seeing a silver one reasonably regularly in Lymm, Cheshire in the mid 1980s. It was in superb condition, but of course wasn't old back then. They're so striking; they look like nothing else on the road.

Good purchase!!
