I came across this car earlier not sure what it was. Looked like a Ford Granada from a distance but the proportions were wrong

It's the second iteration of the Hyundai Sonata, which I think was probably the first one to come to the UK. From 1988 or so.

1988-1993 Hyundai Sonata, front wheel drive saloon roughly the size of a Honda Accord, styling by Giugiaro, Mitsubishi Galant platform and four cylinder or V6 engines (I don't think the latter was offered over here, at least not in this shape). Several generations followed before it was replaced by the i40.
