So, as you'll see from my erm, varied previous list of cars, I have packed quite a lot into my near 7 years of driving. Next weeks brings another birthday. 24 to be precise, and with a nearly new (by my standards at least) BMW Z4 as the daily and obligatory Mazda Mx5 race car for obliterating whats left of my wages. You'd probubly ask why the hell I deccided to buy a crummy old Mercedes.
Well I shall be honest, this question has popped up in my head also, however I have bit the bullet. it arrives later this week, so lets just get on with it. What I have ended up with is a 1989 Mercedes W124 260E Saloon. In fantastically original (56k mile old) ,condition complete with; tape deck, hub caps, sunroof (rare I believe?) and all. What am I going to do with it? Well to be honest I have absolutely no idea, which I suppose is part of the fun. I've always wanted one, and hence I've no doubt massively over paid for it. But I don't really care. I will keep you all up to date as you are no doubt dying to see pictures etc. I'm genuinely in 2 minds as to what to do, keep it as original as it deserves. Or become the anti-christ of the MB Owners Club when it ends up an inch from the ground on BBS's...
Either way I'm sure it'll be an adventure.

I once had a 2 litre 190e and wished I had got the 2.6 version!
Put that right with a C280 I thought, but then discovered BMW's - no looking back now.:laugh
MB is too auto, slow, old person, rusty, crusty, sh*te, minicab dross:
Nice they offer "man-made" leather - is that plastic or what?!?

I say leave it original. 'Slamming' cars is a fast track to the breaker's yard. That's fine with poor cars, but a real shame with a low mileage original car like this. It deserves its shot at being one of the survivors.
